Jesus,
Thinking of You Always
You're
Always on His Mind
by
Pastor John Hamel
“For by him [Jesus] were all things
created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by him, and for him.” (Colossians 1:16)
The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ existed long before “time” as we know
it. Jesus did not begin His life as a little baby in Bethlehem some 2000 years
ago. That was simply the beginning of His “human” life. It was not the beginning of His
“existence.”
Difficult as it may be
to comprehend, Jesus has always existed.
Jesus has no beginning and He has no
end. This is why He has given Himself the name “Alpha and Omega”.
(Revelation 1:8,11; 22:13) “Alpha” and
“Omega” are the first and last letters of the
Greek alphabet.
Jesus is saying that all things
begin with Him and end with Him. He is the beginning and He is the end!
So
don’t be fooled by Jesus’ human birth. That was not the beginning of His
existence. That was the beginning of the human life He assumed in order to
pay for the sins of the world. (John 3:17)
The Bible is clear. The pre-existent
Jesus created all that is in existence. It does not matter if it’s
something in Heaven or on Earth. It does not matter
if it’s visible or invisible; Jesus made it all! (John 1:3)
Jesus made you
and He still has big plans for you. It doesn’t matter how badly you may
think you’ve blown it.
The Islamic religion denies what Jesus taught about His
pre-existence. Judaism also denies His pre-existence. Hinduism has
multiple millions of gods, all who compete with one another -- all who
conflict with what Jesus taught us about His pre-existence and solitary Lordship.
What do you believe? Do you believe
the Bible? Do you believe Jesus? The Bible not only teaches that Jesus
existed long before time, but that you existed in His mind
long before time. Everything about you was recorded in His
“Book” before you were even conceived. (Psalm 139:16)
Not only that, He has always thought
of you, is thinking of you now and will continue to think about you ALWAYS.
This is the case even when you are not thinking about Him. You were and are
always in His thoughts.
The Bible says His thoughts of you are more
numerous than all the sand particles on all the beaches of the world. (Psalm 139:17,18)
Not only is Jesus thinking of you
always, He has a good plan for your life – a reason and purpose for having
created you.
“I know what I’m doing. I have it
all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to
give you the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11 Message Bible)
Would you like to know the details
of those plans? You’ll never know peace until you find out why He put you
here on this Earth.
Simply pray, “Jesus, I choose You.
Please give me wisdom to discern Your plans for me. I’ll
do whatever You ask. I’ll also do it with all my heart.” (Romans 10:13)
Expect those plans to unfold now.
The Holy Spirit will communicate
them to you clearly -- just like He made Himself
clear here today.
Jesus is thinking of you right
now. He always has thought of
you. He always will!
