A Heaven to Gain

And It's a Real Planet, Too!

“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”  (Revelation 4:1-2)

Heaven.  

Jesus referred to it over seventy times in the Bible.  

Almost all of the world’s false religions and make-believe disciplines refer to it, also.  However, almost all of them differ on what it is and what it is like.  One should not bother to listen to any of their ungodly guesswork. 

The Bible is man’s final authority concerning this topic and it very clearly teaches what Heaven is.  

Heaven is the Capital of the Universe.  It is from here that the Most High God providentially governs all of His creation.

The Planet Heaven 

"Thick clouds are a covering to Him, that He seeth not; and He walketh in the circuit of Heaven." (Job 22:14)

It is interesting to note in this verse that the Hebrew word for "circuit" is "chuwg." (Pronounced khoog.) It means "a circle" or "a circle as drawn with a compass."

This verse reveals that in order for the Most High God to walk the area of Heaven, He must walk in a circle.  Obviously, Heaven must be spherical, like Planet Earth and all other planets, in order for Him to do so.

"His going forth is from the end of the Heaven, and His circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof." (Psalm 19:6) 

Here is another fascinating Bible fact. The Hebrew word for "circuit" in this verse is "tequwphah." (Pronounced tek-oo-faw.) It means "a revolution" or "to revolve," "to follow a course," "to lapse," "to come about."  

This word is a reference to the way planets, including the Planet Heaven, orbit in space.

Quite obviously, according to what is written in Scripture, the spherical Planet Heaven revolves, or orbits, in space following a course repeatedly. 

So it is clear from these two verses that Heaven is a spherical-shaped planet that orbits in space like all other planets.  

The Apostle Paul revealed, by the Holy Spirit, that the Planet Earth is an exact replica of the Planet Heaven. 

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." (Romans 1:20)

Here the Apostle Paul reveals that Heaven can be understood by looking at the things God made on the Earth at the time of Creation.  Although Heaven is invisible to us now, all we must do to get a clear idea of what it is like is look around at things on Planet Earth.  Paul is saying the Planet Heaven looks exactly like the Planet Earth.  Of course it would, because it is a spherical planet orbiting in space just like Earth.

The Curse of Death Will Be Purged  

Unfortunately, Adam allowed a curse to come into the Earth that is not on the Planet Heaven. (Genesis 3:17-19)  That is why sickness, poverty, death and separation from God are problems on Earth which do not exist in Heaven.  That curse will be purged from the Earth soon after Jesus returns to begin His Millennial Reign.  

"For He must reign, til He hath put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:25-26)

At the time of Christ permanently destroying death, Planet Earth will be as “sin-free” and "curse-free" as Planet Heaven is now. 

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: For the former things are passed away." (Revelation 21:5)  

One other thing I should mention is that the Planet Heaven is located directly north of the Planet Earth. (Psalm 75:6,7; Isaiah 14:13,14)

My wife, Barbara, once asked, "Do you think it could be the North Star?" 

If Jesus is your Lord, Savior and Deliverer, you have much to look forward to in Heaven.  There will be friends and family there who also accepted Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary.  

You will live in that home you have always desired and experience wonderful things that Earth could not give to you. (Matthew 6:18-20; John 14:2)  

Never again will you suffer sickness, lack, fear, accident, rejection, loneliness or even death, yours or anyone else’s. (Revelation 21:4,5)  

Just think of Planet Heaven as a perfected Planet Earth and there you have it!

No one ever arrived on the Planet Heaven for being good.  You get there by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.  

No one goes to Hell for being bad.  One goes to Hell for rejecting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  

God never sent one human being to Hell.  He never will.  People send themselves to Hell by rejecting His means of escape in Jesus. 

Have you not yet told Jesus, “You’re my choice”?  

You can do it right now, wherever you are, while reading this Gospel message.  

Just simply say, “Jesus, You’re my choice” and you’ll be spared the penalty of Hell.  You’ll gain the rewards of Heaven. (Romans 10:31) 

After all, there is a Hell to shun and a Heaven to gain!
