Jesus,
Man of Miracles
And That Will Never Change
By Pastor John Hamel
“Jesus Christ the
same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
The Bible says
Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday. This would cause anyone
with normal curiosity to ask, “Well, what was Jesus like yesterday, in
Bible days?”
The only way to answer that question is to look at Him
in action in the New Testament. By checking out Jesus’ actions in the
New Testament, we can know what to expect from Him today!
“And Jesus went
about all Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner
of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” (Matthew 4:23)
Everywhere Jesus
went He preached the Gospel of “Good News.
God’s not mad at anyone!” Everywhere He went, He taught His
message of love, forgiveness, healing and miracle
deliverance. When people believed what Jesus preached and taught, God
confirmed their faith with miracle healing, miracle provision, miracle
deliverance and miracle protection! It happened everywhere He
went.
“As they went out,
behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the
devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the
multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.” (Matthew 9:32,33)
So we see from the
New Testament what Jesus was like yesterday. There is not one place
in the New Testament where Jesus refused to help anyone who came to Him
humbly seeking help. Not one single place!
As a matter of fact,
when people react to Jesus today as they reacted to Him in the Bible, the same types of miracles still occur!
So, the next logical question to answer is, “How did people react to Jesus
in Bible days?” Let’s go back to the New Testament for that answer as
well.
“And his fame went
throughout all Syria: and they brought
unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments,
and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic,
and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” (Matthew
4:24)
When people heard
that Jesus, the Man of Miracles was in town, they came running. They
brought all their sick friends and loved ones. They brought all their
tormented, mentally ill, depressed loved ones and Jesus healed them.
This is how people in the New Testament reacted to Jesus.
“Great multitudes
came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed,
and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them.” (Matthew
15:30)
These people
literally threw their loved ones at the feet of the compassionate Miracle
Man and He healed them, no questions asked. Do you have sick or
tormented loved ones? Maybe you are sick, tormented or have a miracle
need that only Jesus can meet. Spend

Can’t wait?
Pray this prayer, “Jesus, I choose You as my Savior, Healer, Deliverer,
Liberator and Miracle Man. Save
me. Heal me and help me now. I give You my life. I’ll
tell everyone what You did for me. I’ll even tell how You’ll do it
for them. You are my Man of Miracles.”
Somebody wrongly
said, “Jesus stopped performing miracles once He was exalted. He
doesn’t have that kind of mercy any more.”
I’ll answer that
misinformed comment from the Bible as well.
“…therefore will he
be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you.” (Isaiah
30:18)
Jesus was not
exalted to discontinue His mercy. Jesus was exalted that He may continue to show mercy to sick
suffering people.
That’s why the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the
same yesterday, today and forever!
Don’t be fooled by people who only
want to talk about what Jesus doesn’t do anymore.
Be blessed by those
who want to talk about what He’ll never stop doing – performing miracles out of His great love for humanity.
